What is Dementia

डिमेंशिया यानी मनोभ्रंश किसी एक बीमारी का नाम नहीं, बल्कि के लक्षणों के समूह का नाम है। इनसे दिमाग को नुकसान पहुंच सकता है और क्‍योंकि हमारे शारीर को हमारा दिमाग ही नियंत्रित करता है, इसलिए डिमेंशिया के चलते इससे पीडि़त व्‍यक्ति अपने नियमित काम ठीक से नहीं कर पाता।

Dementia i.e. dementia is not the name of a single disease but rather the name of the group of symptoms. They can damage the brain and because our body controls our brain, so due to dementia, the person suffering from this can not do their regular work properly.

उसकी याददाश्त भी कमज़ोर हो सकती है। वह अक्‍सर भूल जाता है कि वह किस शहर में रहता है या कौन सा साल या महीना चल रहा है। आमतौर पर डिमेंशिया को बुढ़ापे की बीमारी माना जाता है, लेकिन आजकल गलत खानपान, तनाव और खराब जीवनशैली कब आपको इसका शिकार बना दें, कह नहीं सकते।
