सकंल्प

पूजन शुरू​ करने से पहले सकंल्प लें। संकल्प करने से पहले हाथों मेे जल, फूल व चावल लें। सकंल्प में जिस दिन पूजन कर रहे हैं उस वर्ष, उस वार, तिथि उस जगह और अपने नाम को लेकर अपनी इच्छा बोलें । अब हाथों में लिए गए जल को जमीन पर छोड़ दें।

Make a selection before starting the worship. Take water, flowers and rice in the hands before making the resolution. Speak your wish in the Sankalp that day the worshipers are doing that year, the date, the place and your name. Now leave the water taken in the hands on the ground.

सर्वप्रथम गणेश पूजन करें। भगवान गणेश को स्नान कराएं। वस्त्र अर्पित करें। गंध, पुष्प, अक्षत अर्पित करें। अब भगवान शिव का पूजन शुरू करें। गृहस्थ जीवन में भगवान श्री शिव की पारद प्रतिमा का पूजन सर्वश्रेष्ठ कहा गया है। सफेद आक या स्फटिक की प्रतिमा का पूजन से भी उत्तम फल की प्राप्ति होती है।
