बेल (बिल्व) स्कंद पुराण के अनुसार रविवार और द्वादशी के दिन बिल्ववृक्ष का पूजन करना चाहिए। इससे ब्रह्महत्या आदि महापाप भी नष्ट हो जाते हैं। जिस स्थान में बिल्ववृक्षों का घना वन है, वह स्थान काशी के समान पवित्र है। बिल्वपत्र छः मास तक बासी नहीं माना जाता।


According to Bell (Bilv) Skanda Purana, worshiping the Bibhavraksha should be done on Sunday and on the day of Dvashashi. This also destroys Brahmahati etc. In a place where there is a thick forest of bilvakshak, the place is sacred like Kashi. The bailout is not considered stale for six months. 

चतुर्थी, अष्टमी, नवमी, द्वादशी, चतुर्दशी, अमावस्या, पूर्णिमा, संक्रान्ति और सोमवार को तथा दोपहर के बाद बिल्वपत्र न तोड़ें। 40 दिन तक बिल्ववृक्ष के सात पत्ते प्रतिदिन खाकर थोड़ा पानी पीने से स्वप्न दोष की बीमारी से छुटकारा मिलता है।

Chaturthi, Ashtami, Navami, Dwashashi, Chaturdashi, Amavasya, Purnima, Sankranti and on Monday and at noon do not break the bill sheet. For 40 days, eat seven leaves of the Bilvavrik every day and drink a little water and get relief from the dream defect. 

घर के आँगन में बिल्ववृक्ष लगाने से घर पापनाशक और यशस्वी होता है। बेल का वृक्ष उत्तर-पश्चिम में हो तो यश बढ़ता है, उत्तर-दक्षिण में हो तो सुख शांति बढ़ती है और बीच में हो तो मधुर जीवन बनता है।
